1. Q: What is the difference between CIC and IIC hearing aids?
A: Completely-in-Canal (CIC) hearing aids are placed in the ear canal, with only a small portion visible at the opening. Invisible-in-Canal (IIC) hearing aids are positioned further back, behind the second bend of the ear canal, remaining completely hidden from view.

2. Q: What is the difference between CIC and BTE hearing aids?
A: Completely-in-Canal (CIC) hearing aids are placed inside the ear canal, whereas Behind-the-Ear (BTE) hearing aids have the receiver (or “horn”) located on the body of the device, behind the ear, and connected to the ear canal via a tube.

3. Q: What is the difference between CIC and ITC hearing aids?
A: Completely-in-Canal (CIC) hearing aids are positioned deep within the ear canal, while In-the-Canal (ITC) hearing aids are placed in the lower part of the outer ear. ITC devices, though still small, are slightly larger, with the faceplate occupying about a quarter of the concha cavity.
